There’s been a cybercrop at Svensk Scrapbooking this weekend, and I manage to complete four of the challenges

Cards and altered at CropStop
A card just for inspiration on using punches in the CropStop Forum

The border is made using a Fiskars border punch, the lantern is cut with the Gazelle using a dingbat font, and the glass in the lantern is vellum, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
It was my turn for the challenge this week, which is to alter something on the theme “time”. Read more here.

I used a cigar box – I get them for free at our local tobacco shop – which I painted with Crackle Paint. Unfortunately it chipped! I didn’t think of the glossy paper the box was covered with! So I went over the painted areas – very lightly – with Beacon Liquid Laminate, which seemed to seal the crackle paint on the box. But now it got all shiny… So I decided to cover it all with another crackle paint – Tarnished Brass – and got a lovely structure!
Next step… Papers… K&Co Ancestry was my choice for this. The edges are distressed with edger and Distress Inks in several hues depending on the color of the paper.
Decorations! Yep, love those! A Maya Road chipboard Celtic Knot, painted with Crackle Paint and very lightly with Distress Inks over that. The MR key is painted with Crackle Paint, Tarnished Brass. The clock stamp is Heidi Swapp, embossed with Ranger Gold, the musical paper is of unknown origin, I worked hard with the Distress Ink – Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain – on that. Various paper flowers and a page pebble covered with Alcohol Ink. A few lampworked beads on a piece of jute yarn.
The inside paper has been misted using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and a Glimmer Screen from the Tattered Traveler collection. A Tim Holtz gamespinner, a few “chinese” coins, a mother of pearl shell and some pictures I downloaded from internet. Done!
It now contains my most recent toys that I got from CropStop the other day…

Have toys… Will play… See you later!
TGIF!
And Friday means a new weekly challenge at CropStop! Jump over and check it out! Hint: it’s all black and white today…

Instructions for the fan can be found in my previous post (pointing downwards). The flowers are made from black cardstock cut with the Gazelle using the BossKut Daisy “die” and stamped with an unknown stamp with Staz-On in Cotton White. For the fan I used Autumn Leaves Whirly Gigs stamps and Staz-On in Jet Black, the edges are colored with Distress Inks Black Soot.

My little cool cat, Kevin. The flowers here are Prima Esprit and BossKut Wildflowers cut with the Gazelle, inked and embossed. The flourish is also cut with the Gazelle, a BossKut shape that I have sized up a bit. A lot of jewelry parts and so these glass decorations that I have stamped, embossed and covered with 3D-laquer.

My aunt celebrated her 80th birthday some weeks back and this is the card I made for her. WorldWin cardstock, K&Co Ancestry paper, Prima flowers and some stuff from my stash.
You won’t believe it…
but I’ve made cards today, too! How about that? For someone that seldom makes cards I can tell seven in a row is kind of a record!
A new challenge at 365 Cards today, accordion fold and this is what I made:

I didn’t follow Vicki’s instructions to the point, but I used the measures she gave.
This weekend there’s a cybercrop going on at Mima’s, one of my favorite Swedish shops. Check out their forum here! I found several challenges that I will give a try at, check back tomorrow to see the results.
Another cardmaking day…
I had some of the challenges this week at 365 Cards undone, so I made them all today. Here they are:

Money holder

Gift card holder

Tri-fold card

Pop-up card

Score a pattern card
Since I’m not a cardmaker, this week has been so fun and I really look forward to the challenge tomorrow! Usually I just make the cards I need for some occasions, but now I have some ready made, just put in sentiments or other text in!
