Ikväll ska jag shoppa golv och tapeter så sambon är sysselsatt ett par dagar. Jag hjälper till där det behövs, men tapetsering och golvläggning är det bäst att han gör själv. Han har mycket bättre armar till det. Jag får ta hand om markservice och småfix.

Under dagen har jag lekt med Alco Inks och UTEE. Oh, du milde, vad kul man kan ha fast det snöar ute och blåser småspik!

What’s all this fuzz about journaling? Many scrapbookers get a journaling block just because they think they NEED to do journaling. It’s not always so. Start with asking yourself who do you want to tell what? Sometimes it’s very easy to pretend that you’re talking to a friend and wants to tell what happened – write it as you would say it! Or if you want to tell your kids what they did when – write it in the same way you would say it to them.

Not all pictures needs journaling either. They can speak for themselves sometimes, then just add notes on where, when and who. That’s OK.

And then there are those pictures you want to scrap, things you want to tell, but not to anyone. Or things you aren’t ready to tell just yet. Make yourself a private album where you keep these layouts. Where you can write down what you feel, what you really want to say, things to remember. Make it your private diary with photos and mementos. Your secrets. I have one – I will show it when I’m ready to. Not before. And maybe just taking LO’s out of it and put it in the “official” albums… The rest will remain my secrets. Go on, write away as you please!

Yeah! We went to my mom’s place today, and while DH took the kids to the beach – a quarter of a mile walk – to spend a couple of hours there, I took the opportunity to raid the strawberry bed! They taste oh so lovely with just lightly whipped cream and a touch of sugar…

Funny name, isn’t it?

Early morning and having some difficulties on deciding what to do today. Right now it’s sunny and warm, but weather forecast says rain and thunderstorms to be expected later on.

The kids wants to go to the beach today, but I bet that if we go, the rain will come just after arrival there. If we don’t go, it’ll probably be warm and sunny all day…

The kids vacation, that is. Having them running around at home drives me nuts. Having all their cousins, next cousins and friends running around too is probably killing me.

Today I ran the dishwasher four times. Yes, four. Sometimes I think they live on lemonade, buns, cookies and ice-cream, all served in real glasses and on porcelain plates. Paper ones will not do. And a new glass each time – even if the one they used an hour ago is still on the kitchen table.

OK, new day tomorrow. New schedule, too. From tomorrow on they will only be served “fika” – which is the Swedish word for between-meals-snacks – usually consisting of coffee/lemonade/tea with various cookies/buns/wafers or whatever can be found in the pantry – on set times. At 10.00 am and 02.00 pm and an evening snack at 08.00 pm. I hope this will solve my dishing problem…

To all of you celebrating mothers today! Here in Sweden we’ll have to wait two more weeks before we celebrate.

I got to buy my own gift this year – DH looked like a birdhouse when I said I wanted a Big Bite… LOL! He couldn’t find out what it was so he asked where to get it, I answered, and he just said “order it”!

It has reached the Swedish border, so with a little bit of luck I will have it in my hands tomorrow, just in time to use it to make my own mum a Mother’s Day gift. As Sickan says, “I have a plan…”
