During a cybercrop at KT Crafts this summer, Vicki told us how to make suncatchers. I made one then and since an idea has been floating around in my head to use beads for the ring at the top. Now I’ve made two, and more to follow!

I don’t know exactly what to call these projects – are they hybrid?

The ring at the top is beaded, tubular Herringbone weave using Miyuki 6/0 for the blue and Miyuki 8/0 for the pink/brown one. The acetate is stamped using VersaMagic – I like the matte stamping against the shiny acetate. I have added beads, flowers and ribbons. The stamps are from Personal Impressions and Prima.

Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures – it’s hard to take good photos in a window.
