…do you promise not to tell…

Let me whisper in your ear…

Curious? Well, here’s the secret. I was asked to join the Bumblebee DT a long time ago, but it was not to start until September 1st, and that’s tomorrow, so now I can tell!

I found this lovely sketch while surfing the net and thought I’d give it a try! Obviously I liked it, as I made two LO’s from the same sketch!

CS: WorldWin, PP: Prima, flowers: Prima, WildOrchids, Panduro and Reprint, die-cuts: BossKut Gazelle. Other stuff from my stash.

Panduro had a sale recently, and they had Prima papers too! Guess who stocked up on them? I’ve used them a lot these past weeks. Here are a few of the LO’s I’ve made.

The tag comes from one of Kevin’s t-shirts, I painted it with Crackle Paint and added a rub-on.

Flowers from Prima and PYHobby, the pearl white brads are office type brads which I have embossed (pointing downwards, instructions there), the photo mat is of my own production, stamps and journalpaper from Prima, chipboards from K&Co, except the swirl which is from Panduro. Painted with Crackle Paint and added Distress Ink.

Flowers from Prima, Wild Orchids and PYHobby, the leaves comes from an interior design shop, the leaf border is stamped, embossed and alco inked on acetate (instructions in an earlier post), flower centers (half pearls) are bought at Tradera.

Prima and Wild Orchids flowers, chipboard swirl from Panduro, brads are embossed with UTEE Britez Fuchsia.

Flowers from the same places as all the LO’s above. The chipboard swirl was really piggy pink so I added some red Staz-On to it. Journal tag/calendar from Webster’s Pages.

The photo mat is of my own production, but can also be bought from Svartvik Paper, this one is stamped with Prima stamps and Staz-On ink. The title is a SEI rub-on, flowers are Prima and Imaginisce, the belt buckle from K&Co, but I added some Crackle Paint to it as it was in wrong color.

A wooden Domino piece, distressed. The lovely screw brads comes from Creative Club.

The large brad lower left comes from Panduro, the hook and eye on the right is from one of mom’s sweaters (don’t tell her!).

That’s enough of Prima for today – but don’t worry, there’s more (I just ordered another pile of them…)

I found this lovely sketch and challenge at the Handarbeta blog – go check it out, you have until August 8th to participate!

Here’s my take on it:

The background paper is a Bazzill Smoothie, Walnut Cream, which I have stamped with a script stamp and Saddle Brown Staz-On, then with a flower stamp and embossed with clear EP, added some Distress Inks and misted the whole thing. Some of the brads are embossed (check out below) and some of the flowers have been stamped, inked and misted. The photo mat is handmade paper of my own production, but it can also be bought from Svartvik – with its lovely structure and raw edges it goes so well with Distress Inks.

Stamped with opaque white Staz-On and embossed with holographic EP on acetate.

I put Alcohol Ink on acetate and cut with an Ellison die – Daisies.

There are two coats of Stickles on the center flower, and all the chipboard flowers are painted with Crackle Paint.

Don’t forget to check out the challenge at Handarbeta, and also check in what’s happening at CropStop this week!

Aaah! We came back from Stockholm yesterday evening, and with our luggage full of goodies! We shopped some at Handarbeta on Thursday

Thank you, Sofia, for a lovely afternoon! Both me and the kids enjoyed the stop at your shop. We’ll be back again. Soon!

We spent Saturday at Gröna Lund and Aquaria, and yes, I took tons of pictures! I need to send them off to be developed ASAP.

When we came home I also had received a package from CropStop, so the pile of goodies grew! This is what I have to organize today

I need to make place for my new Staz-On and Distress Ink pads, re-organize some flowers and ribbons, try the Tim Holtz distress tool, check the color on my new embossing powder, and of course develop the photos from the trip!

Have a nice day, everyone! I know I will…
