Yeah, I’ve finally finished it… My steampunk inspired Christmas Tree!

I’ve made this one using the same techniques as for the first two trees, but used black Gesso on the styrofoam cone and covered it with black lace. All decorations are different jewellry parts and scrapbooking stuff, and the Christmas gifts have all been opened, just the paper left…

Assorted jewellry parts and scrapbooking decorations hanging from brass chains.

The base is covered with sheet music, I used Viva Décor Croco Paint and Ferro Paint for the structures, and yes, I’ve opened all the gifts and left the wrapping paper…

This one is a bit smaller, but I have used the same techniques and materials as for the first one.

The lace has been colored in using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, the star in the top is made by using a hand punch, two layers joined with 3D-foam, and then covered in Stickles.

…or something like that!

This is what I’ve been up to these past days. A styrofoam cone covered with lace, mounted on a piece of wood and then on a papier maché box. Added some patterned paper to the box, some glitter-flitter-spray to the tree, snow paint around the trunk and ice pearl laquer beneath the tree. Some gifts and a star, and it’s ready to go!
