Altered Note Book

This notebook is made from scratch using plain paper, a cereal box, BIA and o-wires, DCWV patterned papers, some stamps and decorations. A gift for a workmate who loves Japan, black and purple…

It’s a friends birthday tomorrow, so I made him a clipboard

Plain clipboard with gesso for a base layer, then added Glimmer Mists, some more gesso using Glimmer Screens, another layer of Glimmer Mists, some stamps (mostly Tim Holtz) and a chipboard clock from Maya Road.

Stamps, Glimmer Mists and Glimmer Screens from Bumblebee and CropStop, clipboard from Creative Company. Gesso can be found at any craft shop.

Tired of those plain paper or fabric flowers? Then alter them!

This will take you far:

Flowers, stamps, stamp pads and embossing powder.

Sometimes inking the edges is enough:

Or stamp on them, and why not emboss while you’re at it?

Cover them completely in embossing powder or UTEE is great!

Also the fabric flowers can be altered, I stamped a couple of Bazzill Wings with an embossing pad and Ranger Embossing Puffs (yep, it puffs!).

After embossing the brown puffs, I sanded the image lightly to get a worn look, and it worked great! It was exactly what I was hoping for.
