Well, I thought I’d give it a go and subscribe… I usually don’t use clubs as I have a very special style – I only like shabby chic and vintage – but as I said I thought I’d give it a try. I was very pleased with two of the packages, disappointed with one and one was OK, but not more. I use the things I like and give the rest to the kids. The following pictures shows a bit of what I’ve accomplished with the packages so far.
If I have used material not included in the kits, it’s stated under the pictures.

Well, so far I’m not that disappointed in all – the only thing that really bugs me is that the papers are folded!
In this house it’s not easy to avoid pink. With two daughters and two granddaughters there ought to be a lot of pink! And it seems like they all have this color as their favorite.
Peyton:

I had great fun with the chipboard die-cut (Ellison ornament) when I was about to cover it with something. I started with covering it with KlaeberFix, and after about 30 minutes I sprinkled UTEE Britez Fuchsia over it. Just sprinkled, not covered. Heated and melted the UTEE and found out the KlaeberFix was still tacky! So I put some Doodlebug Velvet between the UTEE speckles and ended with a lovely structure.

I have recently taken up beading again – just making embellishments, not jewelry. This net is a 3-bead basic net made with Matsuno 11/0’s.

One of the flowers is also a beaded creation, a bit tricky to find out how to make it so a tutorial will be posted later!

Lorelai:

Some beaded flowers here, too. The princess crown is from Panduro (sale buy) and painted with Ranger Crackle Paint. Love this…

More of those beaded flowers:

And a beaded fringe (part from one of my own necklace patterns):

No, I didn’t find any pictures of Jessica to use!
Papers are almost all S.E.I., flowers are Prima, mulberry roses and BossKut.
Nope, not at all!

When I make my own glue dots, I simply put Klaeber-fix in dots on a non-stick baking sheet (a non-stick craft sheet can also be used) on one side of the sheet. If I want thin dots, I simply fold the other half over and press lightly, if I want thicker dots (which I prefer), I just leave them to air dry, and fold the other half of the sheet over for protection once they’ve dried. As I’m a heavy user of dots, this has saved me at least $10 in a month!
This is one of my favorite songs, it’s so true, so sit back and listen to the lyrics!

InkyWings has blog candy to celebrate Mother’s Day (which we celebrate on Sunday, May 31st here in Sweden). Check it out here!
I took a deep dive down in my bead stash and found tons of things to use! All those boxes with left-over beads are now being made as decorations and embellishments for my layouts. I have this thing for seed beads – the smaller, the better! – and have used them to make “ribbons”, fringes and small flowers. And I can do it while watching tv…

Besides the beaded fringe I found a crocheted tablecloth and a flower made from polymer clay.

For this LO I made a three-bead netting:

I used Matsuno 11/0 beads in a lovely pinkish color that was perfect for the papers.

Small flowers and a “ribbon” made from Matsuno 8/0’s

My favorite bead supplier is Zionesse - go check them out! They have everything you need to make lovely beaded embellishments, and some scrapbooking stuff, too! Put fast and friendly service to that, and that’s why they’re my favorites.
Now I have some more ideas on what to do with these small beads – so back to the working table while I watch Lie to Me…
